Concept and Characteristics of Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Coil

    Hot-rolled stainless steel is also known as stainless steel crude steel. Hot-rolled stainless steel coils are made of stainless steel continuous casting slabs or pre-rolled slabs as raw materials. They are heated to 1,100-1,250 degrees Celsius in a walking heating furnace, and then enter the rough rolling mill after being descaled by high-pressure water. , Finishing mill, after the final rolling, it is cooled by laminar flow and coiled by a coiler to become a hot-rolled black skin coil. After pickling to remove the oxide skin, it is a hot-rolled stainless steel coil. Most of the hot-rolled stainless steel is used as the raw material for the production of cold-rolled stainless steel, and a small amount is directly used as an industrial material for the manufacture of corrosion-resistant parts, containers and equipment in the chemical, petroleum, machinery, shipbuilding and other industries.

Its features:

    1.The toughness and surface flatness are poor, and the price is low;

    2.The temperature of hot rolling is similar to that of forging;

    3.The hot plate is hot rolled and has oxide skin on the surface, and the thickness of the plate is different;

    4.Due to its production process, it is used in many civilian applications, such as kitchen utensils, general household appliances, etc.;

    5.The mechanical properties of hot-rolled steel sheets are far inferior to those of cold working and forging, but they have better toughness and ductility.

Concept and Characteristics of Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Coil

    Cold-rolled stainless steel is processed and rolled on the basis of hot-rolled stainless steel coils. Generally speaking, it is a processing process of hot rolling → pickling → cold rolling. Although the steel plate will heat up due to rolling during processing, it is still called cold rolling. Due to the continuous cold deformation of hot rolling, the mechanical properties are relatively poor and the hardness is too high. It must be annealed to restore its mechanical properties, and those without annealing are called hard rolled coils.

Its features:

    1.Due to a certain degree of work hardening, cold-rolled steel sheets have low toughness and are more expensive;

    2.The cold-rolled surface has no oxide scale, and the quality is good;

    3.The product made by cold deformation has high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality;

    4.Cold rolling is widely used in all walks of life due to its production process, such as all kinds of cold stamping parts, cold rolled cold extrusion profiles, cold coil springs, cold drawn wires, cold heading bolts, etc.

Coil Shipping Tips

If possible, try to place it sideways to avoid the direction of inertia of the vehicle and reduce the impact force during sudden braking. However, horizontal placement may involve loading and fixing issues, and the safest and most effective loading method should be selected according to the actual situation.

It is fixed by bottom planks, sleepers or steel brackets to increase friction and reduce the possibility of steel coil sliding. The steel coils should also be tightly plugged with enough sleepers to avoid sliding due to sudden braking.

Binding with wire ropes is strong, not only the steel coil itself needs to be bound, but also the fixing devices such as sleepers and steel brackets, because the fixing device will also slide when the vehicle is bumpy during driving.

Drive slowly and carefully along the way, drive defensively, and avoid sharp braking, sharp turns, etc. Also, stop more to check whether the wire rope is loose and tighten more.
